Introduction to the job

Are you challenged by the engineering of electrical infrastructure solutions for high-tech products? Do you want to contribute in finding the best electrical infrastructure design for our EUV Light Source? With your talent and experience you can add value to our growing team by testing and integrating our designs in the ASML systems.

Role and Responsibilities

With 38 colleagues we are designing the electrical infrastructure for our EUV Light Source which is used in the newest lithography machines. Our team creates the requirements based on the inputs of many other teams. These requirements are used to design the electrical connections in the whole machine. We count on you to test and integrate the cables, cable bundles and connector plates in our machines. To do that, you need to align with many other people.

Activities that you will do on an average working day are:

• Collaborate and communicate with our team and stakeholders to test and validate concept designs
• Working in the cleanroom, hands on during machine build process
• Create Test Documentation for new hardware designs
• Presenting your analysis after the test performance
• Identifying risk and root cause analysis

For such big and complex machines you can’t do this alone. Together with 5 other colleagues you are responsible for our integration activities. You work in a team that takes care of the design from requirements up to and including integration on the machine.

Skills and experience

Your team player mentality is needed for finding the best solutions together with people in and outside of our team. The quality of your design is important for you, for ASML and our customers. You feel responsible for what you and the team deliver and have the ambition to constantly improve on this.

For doing your work you can rely on:

• Secondary vocational Education (Dutch: MBO-4) or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or similar
• Experience in Electronics and Electrical infrastructure
• Familiar with Troubleshooting methods
• A flexible attitude and heathy work ethos
• Know-how of Testing methods (Module & System level)

The EUV Source Electrical Infrastructure group is part of the Electronic Development Cluster within the sector D&E. We are a team that has high values in trust and respect, working together, helping each other and taking responsibility for our work.

Tom, one of our Electrical Infrastructure Integrators, said: “I’m working as an Integrator for 5 years. My role involves regular cleanroom visits to test and validate new hardware designed by our team. As part of my work, I plan and coordinate the testing in collaboration with all the stakeholders, create Test documents and take part in design reviews to give critical feedback. For that I identify risks in the projects and designs to adhere to the statement of ASML “First Time Right“. When needed I support our factory with escalations, containments and troubleshooting. What I like about the team is that we all work together and support one another to accomplish the goals within the projects, we work very close with a lot of Departments as we are the infrastructure team.“

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
