Bio-processing Sales Specialist

As a Bioprocessing Sales Specialist, you play a crucial role in building and maintaining strategic relationships within your assigned territory. You are responsible for developing and managing Key Accounts and actively seeking new customers. By working closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in our industry, you ensure a seamless transition from opportunities to successful purchase orders.

What will you do?

  • Build strategic relationships while engaging tactically within divisional or departmental groups.
  • Develop and maintain Key Accounts within the territory.
  • Seek out and develop new customers within the territory.
  • Seek out and build business relationships with KOLs in our industry.
  • Own the development of opportunities through to receipt of Purchase Order and ensure detailed and thorough transition to Life Science Projects or Service teams.
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings and presentations for both external customers and internal business partners.
  • Ensure CRM is up to date.
  • Meet and consistently exceed all sales targets set by the business.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to maintain customer satisfaction levels.
  • Provide feedback to the business on market trends to enable future business strategy development.
  • Collaborate with and maintain strong relationships within Service and Projects to deliver a world-class, end-to-end approach.
  • Attend and organize, in partnership with MARCOM business partners, regional and international trade shows related to the industry.
  • Develop territory marketing strategies to enhance our market presence.
  • Be an ambassador for the Getinge brand.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Degree level or equivalent education in Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, or similar.
  • Previous experience in sales within the biotechnology sector and working in a lab environment.
  • Good knowledge of bioprocessing; previous experience with bioreactors is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a high level of customer service, professionalism, and compassion for others at all times.
  • Command of Dutch and English language.
  • Demonstrate a motivated and passionate approach to work, taking ownership of tasks.
  • Planning and organizing skills to manage time, KPIs, and workload effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels within a global organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • In possession of driver’s license.
  • Openness to travel (internationally) (60-70%).
