Overview

PM Group is recruiting a Senior Contract Manager for a role on site at a client in the Port of Antwerp.

This function is open for employees and freelancers.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.


Responsibilities

Provide Contract and Claims Management services to the AN-ANT project during the Execution Phase with the focus on construction contracts and execution:

  • Secure and maintain contractual/commercial entitlements and opportunities defend against contractual/commercial risks.
  • Communicate, meet and liaise with the site team to identify and support in respect of contractual and claim/change issues, data, costs, schedules, and records.
  • Draft contractual/commercial correspondence and notices.
  • Plan and report upon contract and claim/change management related activities.
  • Ensure that the Project has all the relevant Contracts and Claim Management procedures, and processes.
  • Operate and administer contract and claim/change management related systems, processes and software.
  • Carry out contractual reviews and claim/change management issues analysis.
  • Assess and advise upon the risks and opportunities in the contract.
  • Improve the project team’s awareness of contractual and claim/change management related opportunities and risks.
  • Consult the project team in respect of maintaining the necessary records and data to evidence contractual compliance and support the claims and change management processes.
  • Manage the collection of the time, cost, and activity records, required to address claims and change issues.
  • Review,Draft, collate, and prepare claim/change assessments within the required time scales including substantiation, i.e. programme effects, and entitlement statements.
  • Report upon and prepare plans claims/change related activities.
  • Provide contractual/commercial support, and as appropriate manage complex or contentious contractual/commercial issues.
  • Ensure that contract and claim/change management issues, activities and progress are regularly and accurately reported upon.
  • Act as a sounding board, and advise the Project Management Team on contractual/commercial matters.
  • Provide support if ,necessary, in respect of formal dispute proceedings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master level
  • Large experience in an industrial project environment, by preference in the (petro-)chemical sector
  • Large experience in procurement roles
  • Experience in contract management
  • Very good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage
