Eneco (Eneco - Rotterdam)
Lead the evolution of GIS and ALM solutions that support Eneco’s critical heat networks and asset management systems.
Combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in an innovative engineering environment.
Help shape the digital backbone of Eneco’s sustainable energy infrastructure across the Netherlands.
At Eneco, we’re building the digital backbone that powers the energy transition. As Engineering Manager ALM/GIS, you’ll lead a cross-functional team that supports and develops two critical platforms:
GIS (Geographic Information Systems):
Used to visualize and manage Eneco’s physical infrastructure, especially our district heating networks.
ALM (Asset Lifecycle Management):
Systems like
SAP Plant Maintenance
and
SAP Asset Manager
that monitor and maintain thousands of assets throughout their entire operational lifecycle.
You’ll ensure these platforms remain stable, scalable, and future-proof—helping our teams manage vital infrastructure like wind farms, energy grids, and heating systems.
You're a strong technical leader who enjoys working both strategically and hands-on. You bring a passion for energy systems, spatial data, and sustainable infrastructure—and you're motivated by real-world impact.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering digital solutions in GIS and/or ALM contexts.
Solid technical experience with platforms such as
ESRI ArcGIS
,
SAP PM
,
SAP Asset Manager
, and ideally integration with other enterprise systems.
Familiarity with assets like district heating networks (warmtenetten), geospatial data management, or infrastructure lifecycle workflows.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate between IT, engineering, and business teams.
Leading the daily operations of the ALM and GIS engineering teams and aligning their work with business priorities and project timelines.
Overseeing the development and support of systems that power Eneco’s heat network asset data and maintenance workflows.
Collaborating with key stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver improvements in platforms such as
ESRI ArcGIS
,
SAP PM
, and
SAP Asset Manager
.
Driving best practices in geospatial software development, including versioning, testing, integration, and documentation.
Contributing hands-on in the GIS domain, particularly in initiatives involving spatial data modelling, performance optimization, and API integrations.
Fostering continuous learning and collaboration across your team and contributing to Eneco’s broader digital transformation.
You’ll join Eneco’s Asset Lifecycle & GIS domain, a high-impact team at the heart of the energy transition. Together with GIS engineers and SAP ALM experts, you’ll help maintain and grow the systems that ensure Eneco’s infrastructure stays safe, efficient, and ready for a climate-neutral future.
We work hybrid, combining collaboration days at our Rotterdam HQ with the flexibility to focus from home when needed.
If this role sparks your interest and you’re excited to shape how Eneco manages critical energy systems, we’d love to hear from you.
