Field Service Engineer Mechanical/Electrical

As Field Service Engineer at MHI, you provide mechanical and/or electrical service expertise for our corrugator and box-making machines. You will frequently travel internationally to assist customers not only with technical support but also by training their staff. Since these assignments will keep you away from home mostly for a period of 1 to 2 weeks, but sometimes up to 7 weeks, you will enjoy considerable freedom in your role and special recovery time at home to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Your main responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Supporting field service operations (e.g., inspections, overhauls, upgrades, corrective maintenance);
  
• Preparing detailed reports on field service activities;
  
• Assisting with the installationof MHI machines;
  
• Collaborating with and training staff of the customer.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will join the Service Department, a team of 15 engineers. The work environment is informal, and since the team consists of different nationalities, English is the primary language.

You are an experienced Service Technician/Engineer with a mechanical and/or electrical background and strong hans-on technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You enjoy traveling and have no issues being away from home for extended periods. Customers can always rely on you. You have strong communication skills and know how to effectively interact with customers both in spoken and written English.

Additionally, you have:

• 
  
• MBO level 4 /Bachelor mechanical engineering or electrical engineering;
  
• Several years of experience as Service Technician/Engineer;
  
• Experience in large machine building, industrial manufacturing, or a related field;
  
• EU passport;
  
• Good command of the English language and preferably a second language.

• Salary: €3,800 – €4,600 based on full-time employment (40 hrs);
