As a financial business partner you play a key role in shaping how Tata Steel Nederland invests in its capital projects, major engineering initiatives and our mega project transformation. This transformation means producing clean and green steel. You bring financial clarity, strengthen governance and help ensure every investment drives long term value. From integrating a multi billion euro mega project into our financial systems to advising senior leadership with scenario analyses and support on our capital portfolio — you are at the heart of financial decision making in one of Europe’s most ambitious industrial transformations.

As a financial business partner at Tata Steel Nederland, you shape strategy through data, financial insights and strong collaboration with technical and executive stakeholders. You will:

• Lead the financial integration of the mega project into central systems, reporting structures and governance frameworks.
• Align financial planning with project execution, partnering closely with Projects & Engineering leadership.
• Manage government subsidies, ensuring compliance, quality reporting and optimisation of available funding.
• Strengthen the financial control environment across engineering and capital portfolios and safeguard governance standards.
• Develop business cases and investment proposals that support long term strategic decisions.
• Advise senior stakeholders through insightful analyses, scenario modelling and risk assessments.
• Coordinate planning & control cycles for project related financials.
• Standardise and simplify financial processes, driving transparency and consistent ways of working.
• Shape and execute the reporting & analytics roadmap, ensuring meaningful and data driven insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted partner to internal clients, building credibility and ensuring strategic alignment across finance, engineering and project organisations.
• Contribute expert knowledge on subsidy frameworks, financial regulation, corporate finance, and capital governance.

You also bring:

• WO level education in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Experience in capital planning, project finance, financial control or investment governance.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel and financial planning systems.
• Experience with subsidies, reporting standards or government funding frameworks.
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.

You will join the Capital Planning, Control & Governance domain in IJmuiden and work closely with Projects & Engineering, Green Steel Project leadership and central finance teams. You operate in a highly technical, industrial environment where investments have significant operational and financial impact. Your work directly contributes to major strategic decisions and to the successful execution of one of Europe’s most impactful industrial transformation programs.
