The Role
As a Furnace Operator, you’ll prepare, jig, assemble, and breakdown loads for heat treatment and brazing according to TDC, loading plans, and build sheets. Taking ownership of furnace load preparation, component assembly, and jig planning, you’ll ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Who We’re Looking For
Key essentials:
No formal qualifications required, but evidence of good general education standard
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience and/or FLT licence preferred but not essential
Prepare components for assembly and assemble them ready for brazing
Jig components for furnace brazing and plan fixture utilisation
Make up and breakdown furnace loads accurately
Operate plant and ancillary equipment safely
Record process information and inspect incoming components
Perform fitting, TIG welding, and spot welding to build sheets/drawings
Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures
Comply with all quality system requirements and maintain good housekeeping
Handle finished and expensive components carefully and seek guidance when unsure
