Overview

To increase our support to an important project for a client in the region of Brussels, PM Group is searching for a medior GIS / CAD DESIGNER ELECTRICITY & TELECOM.

This person will be part of our 'project staffing'-team OTS (Outsourced Technical services). This job is available for employees or freelancers.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.

Responsibilities

The designer manages, under the supervision of the Asset Data Operations Team Lead, the reference data of the client's linear underground infrastructure (electric and telecom) and civil works assets (e.g. buildings). One of the focus points of this underground infrastructure and civil works assets are the geographical locations.

The main tasks are:
• Encoding new underground infrastructure on multiple scale levels going from a geo-schematic level down to a

surveyor measured as-built level.
• Encoding displacements and repairs of the underground infrastructure.
• Encoding of (geographical) data related to civil works assets.

This is done in close collaboration with the Infrastructure Project Leader and based on the delivered documents (e.g. The project note, scenario, construction plans, as-built plans...). The service follows up the data delivery.
The service continuously follows up the evolution of his/her projects in order to plan his/her own work and provide stakeholders with the timely input. The service permanently takes care of his/her projects up to and including the acceptance and approval of the as built design.

The main tool used is a customized GIS/CAD environment.



Qualifications

Requirements:


• Bachelor level thinking.
• Experienced with encoding data in a GIS and/or CAD environment.
• Experienced with the use of databases.
• Experienced with the interpretation on as-built plans.
• Experienced with the use of a ticketing system.
• Technical knowledge of electrical installations is a plus.
• Well organized, quality-driven and customer-oriented.
• Able to work autonomously and accept responsibilities.
• Able to document work-instructions and complex procedures.
• A pro-active communicator both in and outside the team.
• A team player and able to support other team members when necessary.
• A good knowledge of FR/NL/ENG.
