The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving >40,000 employees.
 

Your role

As the Manager Strategic Asset Management you are responsible for defining asset management strategies, and providing and managing service solutions and contracts for all hard services for our factories, warehouses and offices in the Netherlands.
 

The Manager Strategic Asset Management is responsible for translating the CRE strategy, mid and long term plans, such as the Utility Masterplans, and technical and functional designs, as provided by the functional owners of asset systems, into service specifications, manageable output criteria and annual maintenance plans. With that the Manager Strategic Asset Management is responsible for selecting and contracting providers, based on CRE’s sourcing model and strategy, and to manage the performance of and relationship with these providers.
 

The Manager Strategic Asset Management is able to act as the liaison and process accelerator between CRE AM competence managers, the operations team, the hard services supply chain and the CRE Strategic Asset Management team. This requires both generalist technical knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and entrepreneurial skills such as ownership, decision making skills and perseverance.
 

Furthermore you are responsible for alignment with the Business Partners of Corporate Real Estate and the CRE global Center of Excellence.

Your Strategic Asset Management team consists of asset management specialists, contract and supplier managers and several support and specialist functions.
 

Your peer managers are the Manager Operations/Tactical Asset Management, the Manager Competences and Manager Commissioning & Acceptance.

You will report to the Head of Asset Management and are part of the AM management team.
 

Responsibilities
  • Leading the Strategic Asset Management team

  • Responsible for the development of competencies and performance of the team members

  • Translate ASML strategic plans for NL (housing plan, utilities master plan, industrial master plan etc.) to CRE AM implications and develop plans for operationalization, such as innovation processes, maintenance strategies and plans and continuous alignment throughout the supply chain.

  • Ensure the principles of ISO55000 are embedded in our AM process framework.

  • Together with expert colleagues translate strategic objectives (e.g. business continuity, safety, ESG, etc.) in targets and performance setting for the Asset Management team.

  • Translate strategic themes, and opportunities and threats into a vision for the entire portfolio for the medium and long term. Determine the strategic objectives for the portfolio and the relevant development roadmap.

  • Manage the contracts and suppliers that operate under the responsibility of the Asset Management team, acts as the strategic demand organization towards these expertise parties by providing performance requirements specifications. Work with the suppliers to ensure that delivered solutions and services meet the specifications, and drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Explore market opportunities, innovations and consult the market or peer organizations to drive initiatives that support, enhance or elevate CRE AM quality and performance.

  • Connect with other CRE functions for optimization of products, processes or performance locally or with global scope.

  • Stakeholder management (bridge builder and translator)

  • Align and collaborate with the Operations/Tactical Asset Management team to adjust AM strategy based on tactical & operational experiences

  • Financial budgeting, forecasting & validation
     

Your profile
  • Master or bachelor degree in engineering, asset management or business administration

  • At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment

  • At least 5 years of experience in (industrial / operational) management function

  • Analytical and strategic mindset; capable of translating vision into actionable strategies

  • Focus on market trends and opportunities

  • Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, creating room for innovation/creativity, coaching & collaborating

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Teambuilding and coaching skills

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants

  • High organizational sensitivity and situational awareness

  • Networking skills

  • Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability

  • Excellent decision making skills in fast-changing and complex environments,  and capable of dealing with uncertainties

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch
