Introduction

Help as pioneer in the design automation solution team on the development of the 3D NX Mechanical Routing application. The usage of this application is new to ASML and will enable efficient, error free gas & water designs

Role and Responsibilities

As our NX mechanical routing design automation engineer, you will validate functionality of the application. The combination of your expertise with the key-user group results in assessing if the application works and performs correctly. You will drive the qualification of NX Mechanical Routing by creating test specifications and realization of test case execution.

The findings may result in contributions to the requirements, which are to be discussed with the IT developers by looking into the code, resulting in improvements of the Siemens Unigraphics NX Mechanical Routing application and usage. With your experience in the application, you will define the standard way of working for deployment within the D&E Machine Conditioning design teams.

As design automation engineer, You will:

  • Review and contribute to requirement documentation
  • Collaborate with key-users
  • Investigate functionality in 3D NX Mechanical Routing by means of test cases
  • Ensure that proto test cases are built and tests are carried out
  • Document according requirements engineering flow
  • Communicate your findings to peers in the solution team
  • Work on Mechanical routing way of working specification

Education and experience
 

To help us tackle the challenges we face; you will need to be:

  • Proficient in working with Mechanical routing application within NX (main requirement)
  • Able to understand software code
  • Experienced with the ASML way of working in designing (2+ years, direct or via suppliers, would be a pre)
  • Experienced with fluid water/gas designs (2+ years)
  • Motivated to broaden knowledge outside pure design tasks
  • A Master degree or Phd in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Available onsite in Veldhoven

Other information

The business function Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification, design, and integration of the ASML machines. Within D&E, the Machine Conditioning (MC) cluster is specialized in flow and thermal domains. 
The MC Operational Capability Development (OCD) Competence Center is responsible to deliver and maintain design automation tools. The group is the knowledge center for the design of pressurized fluid systems that safeguards safety and compliancy with legislation, supporting the design teams with design rules, training material and reviewing. It holds four technical competences: Fluid Lay-out and Infrastructure Design, High Pressure Systems Design, Gas Safety and Fab Facility Consumption & Pre-install.

Job Mission
Our mission is to increase efficiency and effectiveness in Machine Conditioning Departments. We do this by driving commonality and error free designs within the MC cluster through the technical competences and design automation project.
