Procurement Assistant

In this role you will be part of our spectacular global team of around 40 colleagues in Procurement that drives a successful strategy in sourcing our products globally. The teams have organized themselves in four categories; Packaging, Juices, Ingredients & Indirect.

The global Procurement team consists of managers and buyers as well as contract officers, purchasing analysts, purchasing assistants and a variety of support roles facilitating the teams.

You will report to the Head of Ingredients who is responsible for the Global Ingredients category. The entire team consists of a buyer, Global Procurement Managers, and a team of Contract Officers and Purchasing Assistants. This team could be discribed as a multinational team who have a set of strong capabilities complementing each other to drive our challenging objectives to a success.

Due to an internal promotion we are looking to strenghten our Ingredients team and we are looking for our new:

The position 

In this role you are the heart of our organization and the center point of where it all comes together. The main objective is to ensure an optimal service level towards our factories and external customers by processing their orders on time. You will deal with various different stakeholders, such as: the external warehouse providers, transport companies, supply chain departments, and our Contract Officers and Purchase Managers to ensure our factories have all ingredients needed for production. Procurement drives an agenda of continuous improvement on sustainability, cost, and transportation, with the basic goal to ensure security of raw materials supply to all our internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Check requested products stock availability and communicate with Contract Officers if any limited availability

• Ensure that our warehouses partners are preparing and shipping orders on requested date

• Process orders from our customers in SAP

• Have visibility on potential delays

• Proactively identify and pre-empt problems such as anticipating stock shortages

• Clear communication to stakeholders

• Check and approve invoices related to warehousing, custom clearance, and sales to plants

About you: 

We're looking for an organized and passionate Procurement Assistant with the following qualifications and attributes: 

• You have a Bachelor (HBO) degree in Purchasing, Sales or Supply Chain;

• You have experience in assisting Purchasing, preferably in an FMCG environment.

• Solid knowledge of ERP systems, preferably in SAP and advanced level in Microsoft Excel.

• You will need to be analytical and with strong communication skills, able to take complex information.

• You have strong capability to work within and as part of a dynamic team.

• You have a problem-solving mindset

• You know how to prioritize your daily work

• Able to speak English fluently and preferably other European languages

• Strong at networking and maintaining relationships with stakeholders

• You have a positive attitude and are fun to work with!
