Introduction to the job
The mission of the new Business Performance Improvement (BPI) sector is to orchestrate the portfolio definition of business improvement programs at ASML level, its prioritization based on customer and business impact, and its execution with the different sectors across ASML. We focus on end-to-end processes, requiring to look across organizational boundaries, and considering the entire flow creating value for the customer. The Program Management Officer (PMO) within BPI proactively drives world class project and program management into ASML’s culture to enable successful business performance improvement activities across all sectors to meet ASMLs strategic ambitions.
Role and Responsibilities
The BPI Program Management Officer (PMO) is responsible for supporting cross-ASML multidisciplinary project & program execution by:
Pro-actively supporting the BPI Program Management team to optimize business value
Driving progress and project milestones via the BPI Key-Decision (KD) Process and the Lifecycle of an Initiative (LoI) - (Based on MsP)
Providing support in structuring new strategic initiatives into a program roadmaps
Setting-up, arranging and facilitating meetings, workshops and team-sessions
Taking the lead in analyzing and signaling on resource management, financial management, tracking & reporting, risk & issue management, scheduling & scoping, etc.
Creating what is needed, not necessarily what is being asked, by challenging status quo
Actively looking for improvement opportunities to add value to the business and our BPI PMO way of working
Driving effective decision making on all levels (challenging the triple constraint: scope, cost, time), including timely and accurate reporting & metrics
Driving effective communication and/or escalations on the issues & risks and the required mitigation actions to the stakeholders
Providing input and advice during the quarterly portfolio re-balancing process
Structuring and securing relevant project management documents and decisions, following-up on actions and decisions
Contributing to the competence build-up of the PMO community
Participating in PMO initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program management processes
Education and experience
Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably Business Engineering or (Technical) Business Administration, Business Management, or other relevant field
Minimum of 5 years working experience as a hands-on PMO officer for complex programs and projects or as a Project Manager in a dynamic and innovative (high-tech) organization
Experience working in a highly complex and dynamic organization and ability to work in a ever-changing environment
Expert knowledge in the area of program/-project management, P3M, resource management, process management in a high-tech environment
Proven PMO skills certified with Prince2, IPMA-D, IPMA PMO, PM-Bok, MoP or similar
Certified in Lean Six Sigma green/black belt or Agile methodology is preferred
