We are on a journey to have a carbon neutral value chain by 2040 and to have zero waste from our operations to landfill and incineration by 2030.

To achieve these ambitious goals, we are transforming our organization to ensure that our ESG objectives are structurally included in our decision-making.
As part of this transformation, an ESG sustainability program management team has been created to manage the cross-sector and cross-BL projects and programs that are required to meet our requirements. We are looking for an additional program manager for this team.
Role and Responsibilities
ASML’s strategy on ESG sustainability is built around 9 main themes:
2 themes on Environment: (1) energy efficiency & climate action and (2) circular economy
4 themes on Social: (3) attractive workplace for all, (4) responsible value chain, (5) innovation ecosystem and (6) valued partner in our communities
3 themes on Governance: (7) integrated governance, (8) engaged stakeholders, (9) transparent reporting
For all themes, cross sector programs and projects are being defined to achieve the targets as set in ASML’s sustainability roadmap.
We are looking for a Program Manager for Responsible Value Chain. Responsible Value Chain is about preventing, mitigating and managing human rights and environmental incidents across our value chain and covers ASML’s sustainability due diligence activities. It currently consists of three material (priority) topics: Responsible Supply Chain, Responsible Product Use, and Responsible Product Design.
As a program manager responsible value hain, you will manage the portfolio of projects running for this theme at ASML. This includes:
Aligning on our strategy with the ESG Sustainability Strategy team, supporting them to break down this theme in material topics, and translating these into concrete (step-up) projects with clear targets for the sectors involved
For Responsible Supply Chain: managing alignment with representatives from ESG Sustainability Strategy, Legal & Compliance, and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to define clear project scope and timeline, secure the resources required to meet ASML’s targets and manage progress
For Responsible Product Use: managing alignment with representatives from ESG Sustainability Strategy, Sales, and Legal & Compliance to define scope, targets, secure resources and track progress for this topic
For Responsible Product Design: managing alignment with representatives from ESG Sustainability Strategy, Development & Engineering and Legal & Compliance to drive transparency of materials used in ASML’s systems, define a responsible materials policy, strategy and roadmap and secure embedding these in ASML’s overarching Product Generation Process
Reporting on progress, bottlenecks and risks to the ESG Sustainability Management team and ASML Sr. Management of Business Lines and Sectors involved
Education and experience
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a mix of content knowledge on the topic and relevant program management experience. You need to be able to align on content with topic specialists in the Legal & Compliance, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Development & Engineering and ESG Sustainability Strategy Departments. We expect you to set direction in this team of skilled specialists, defining clear boundaries on scope and timelines. You will chair the project meetings and drive the pace of the team.
Therefore we are asking for >5 years of experience with project / program management, >5 years of experience with topics like Responsible Value Chain, Value Chain Due Diligence, Human Rights, and a MSc in a relevant field. Basic knowledge on relevant legislation (CSRD, CDDDD) and standards (OECD guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights) is appreciated.
