The Project Support Team is part of the Siemens Global Centre of Competence for Data Centre projects, based in The Hague. We are one of the leading global suppliers of products, systems, solutions, and services for the economic, reliable, and intelligent transmission and distribution of electrical energy. We operate in the hyperscale Data Centre market and are involved as a subcontractor in large projects.
The complexity of our projects is determined by size, speed, global locations, and continuous pressure during execution. In other words, dynamic projects with great clients. Due to the international nature of the projects, the working language alternates between English and Dutch.
The TeamOur team currently consists of 8 professionals from various cultural backgrounds. English is the primary language we use, but there are plenty of opportunities to practice Dutch with our Dutch colleagues. We have a mix of junior and senior members who openly share their opinions and experiences. This is a very dynamic team operating in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with stakeholders in Planning, Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, and more. As the Data Centres business continues to grow, our team is expanding rapidly. We are currently seeking a Project Support Professional to assist our Project Managers in the challenging task of building Data Centres worldwide.
How do you make an impact?- Assists Project Manager(s) in keeping project plans up-to-date, monitors progress and escalates any delays or risks.
- Maintains and updates the production schedule, including communicating with customers when required.
- Collaborates with Planning, Engineers, Logistics, and other project group members on the content and execution of assigned tasks.
- Prepares purchase orders for project equipment, ensuring all necessary approvals and signatures are obtained in a compliant way.
- Supports with data entry updating project relevant information in internal tools.
- Prepares shipping instructions (e.g., ATS documents) and coordinates with the Logistics team to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
- Drafts and supports the creation of accurate project documentation, including regular customer reports, kick-off, and handover documentation, etc.
Your background- Driven to deliver quality results and excellent communication skills
- Analytical and eye for process improvement and the ability to work under pressure with exceptional time management skills
- A bachelor’s degree or a vocational degree plus experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with project management practices and software (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Fluent Dutch & English language.
