Job Mission

As a Quality Inspector in the NXE manufacturing team, you play a vital role in safeguarding ASML’s commitment of delivering  products first time right and to zero-defect quality. Acting as the essential gatekeeper, you are responsible for detecting all non-conforming products during the manufacturing process and before shipment. Your inspections ensure that only products meeting strict quality criteria proceed to the next stage or reach our customers.

With this requisition, we are looking for multiple quality inspectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inline and end-of-line inspections based on defined Product Quality Inspection (PQI) criteria provided by the Quality department.
  • Identify and report any deviations or quality issues promptly, preventing defective products from advancing or shipping.
  • Provide reliable, factual quality data and insights to the Manufacturing, Quality and Production Engineering teams, supporting continuous improvement efforts toward first-time-right production.
  • Serve as the representative “eyes and ears” of the Manufacturing, Quality and Production Engineering teams on the shop floor, maintaining a strong presence and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Production Engineering Departments, balancing strict functional guidance with effective teamwork on the production floor.
  • Uphold ASML’s quality culture by ensuring that quality remains decisive throughout the manufacturing process.

Who You Are:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to product quality and zero-defect goals.
  • Skilled in performing inspections and detecting subtle deviations in complex product and manufacturing environments.
  • Assertive and confident, able to uphold quality standards in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team setting.
  • A clear communicator who provides accurate and actionable quality information to various stakeholders.
  • Experienced or willing to learn ASML’s NXE product quality standards and inspection methodologies and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Inspections:
Conduct detailed inspections and sample checks on documents, components, modules, and systems to verify compliance with defined quality standards and specifications, this includes products from both internal and external suppliers and for internal and external customers. Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to measure, test, and validate product dimensions, materials, and functional performance.
  • Document and Report Findings:
Accurately record inspection outcomes, including preparing, updating, and completing inspection forms and entering data into relevant digital systems. Communicate inspection results by sending reports to stakeholders and generating Material Notifications (MNs) and Deviation Notifications (DNs) based on specific quality results.
  • Rework Verification:
Review, verify, and sign off rework and repair actions based on the initial Product Quality Inspection (PQI) results to ensure issues are adequately resolved before go to the next (internal) customer.
  • Production Feedback:
Provide timely and clear feedback on quality performance and findings during daily production meetings, supporting continuous improvement efforts and alignment with quality objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with quality inspectors from both internal suppliers and internal customers to share findings and address nonconformities and deviations in a structured and proactive manner.
  • Support Quality Planning:
Assist the Quality Control Engineer by providing inspection data and findings as input for developing and refining quality control plans and procedures.
  • Risk Escalation:
Identify and escalate safety critical concerns and major quality risks to Quality Control Engineering and the Production team without /delay.
