R&D Export Control Project Lead

As an R&D Export Control Project Lead, you help ASML meet strict global export‑control requirements while supporting innovation in advanced semiconductor technology. You guide projects that ensure ASML’s R&D activities follow international regulations. Your work enables engineers and researchers to develop leading‑edge technology in a safe, compliant and future‑ready way.

In this role, you lead export‑control improvement initiatives across the R&D organization. You coordinate complex projects, align stakeholders, and provide structure in a fast‑changing environment. You make sure regulatory expectations are translated into clear actions, and you help teams adopt new processes effectively.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead export‑control improvement projects and deliver outcomes that support regulatory compliance.
• Align scope, timelines and budgets with stakeholders across R&D and supporting functions.
• Identify risks, track progress and report status to leadership and project teams.
• Guide decision‑making by offering context, insights and clear recommendations.
• Run multiple initiatives at the same time and manage dependencies.
• Drive adoption of processes that strengthen export‑control maturity across R&D.
• Deliver integrated solutions that support long‑term compliance and operational readiness.

You bring structured project leadership experience and a strong interest in regulatory compliance.
Your background includes:

• A master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least five years of experience as a project lead or project manager in a complex organization.
• Experience working within regulatory environments such as cybersecurity, privacy or export control.
• Affinity with research, engineering or software development environments.
• Experience with project management tools or methods used in technology organizations.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working is a plus.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
