Introduction to the job

As a senior manufacturing team leader, your task is to lead and inspire a (natural) team consisting of various competencies that ensure cooperation within Motion and with other ASML relevant Departments.

Role and Responsibilities

The manufacturing team leader ensures timely delivery against demand and directs the production process. You achieve the planned objectives in areas such as customer satisfaction, delivery, quality and efficiency and costs. You lead the organizational change by supporting the implementation of the Lean transformation roadmap. Integral research of this task is the initiation/roll-out of structural improvement projects. As a team leader, you will be involved in the following activities: 

  • People management including selection, development, goal setting and performance management. Ensuring an overall high level of engagement; 

  • Deployment of self-managing teams (consisting of hierarchical and non-hierarchical engineers); 

  • Facilitate and stimulate an environment for continuous improvement aimed at increasing quality, cost reduction (reduction of cycle time, labor hours, asset reduction) and increasing customer satisfaction; 

  • Indicates, initiates and directs actions to improve production processes and/or products; 

  • Key drivers: safety, quality, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, inventory, and people engagement.

Education and experience

Relevant HBO level of thinking and working (e.g. industrial engineering and management science, business administration, supply chain or engineering).

  • Experience as a team leader;
  • Experience in production (management);
  • Experience in a complex work environment;
  • Experience in Lean as a natural team leader;
  • Experience in improvement projects;
  • Broad logistical and business knowledge.
