Introduction to the job

The mission of the new Business Performance Improvement (BPI) sector is to orchestrate the portfolio definition of non-PGP (non-product related) improvement programs at ASML level, its prioritization based on customer and business impact, and its execution by the different sectors or, if needed, with its own resources. It will focus on end-to-end processes, requiring to look across organizational boundaries, and considering the entire flow creating value for the customer.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior portfolio manager. Someone who coordinates the BPI Portfolio Definition process (annual and quarterly), ensures portfolio delivery plans are in line with the business priorities and trade-offs are defined for decision making in the QBPI Planning / Review Meeting. You are able to bring the ASML Portfolio Management community together to support this process, including the needed meeting cadence to facilitate continuous portfolio rebalancing and implement portfolio improvements where needed.

  • Orchestrate the ASML non-PGP portfolio – with focus on cross-sector improvements – as part of the BPI Portfolio prioritization and balancing process

o   Orchestrate the availability of the Sector Portfolio Delivery Plans, Backlogs and Dashboards

o   Facilitate quarterly balancing in order to ensure alignment of the portfolios with business priorities and targets

o   Create transparency on allocation of budget and resources to reflect these priorities

o   Prepare trade-offs for decision making to provide the best value for ASML overall and fit the budget and resource constraints

  • Prepare for the QBPI Planning / Review Meeting to confirm inclusion & allocation of initiatives to leading Portfolios and define the impact to the Sector portfolios

  • Mature the Portfolio Management standards; coordinate the virtual network of Portfolio Managers  and ensure consistent approaches are applied through standardized processes, tooling and templates to provide a clear line of sight across the portfolio

Education and experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant study (e.g. business administration or a relevant technical area)

  • >10 years’ experience in business process improvements, portfolio definition, interface roles between business and IT, preferable in a high-tech environment

  • > 5 years’ experience in managing and realizing large change processes

  • > 5 years’ experience with culture change and the soft aspects/people aspects of organizational development

  • Good knowledge of IT solutions without being an IT expert

  • Senior stakeholder management skills on executive level
