Overview

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join PM Group working for us based out of our Antwerp office.


Responsibilities

Reporting into the Procurement Lead, you will be part of a multi-disciplined project and commercial team to focus on the identification and procurement of trade contract and capital equipment packages and services for our complex customer projects across the Pharmaceutical and Food sectors.

Working closely with the Head of Procurement & Contracts you will have the opportunity to lead and manage the engagement, relationship and procurement process with vendors for supply of services and capital equipment for our project delivery offering, so will require a blend of technical proficiency and competency around procurement best practice as well as building relationships with potential suppliers

You will also engage with non procurement personnel to ensure a commercially minded approach to project delivery.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Procurement etc.)
  • Relevant professional accreditation or qualification highly desirable (e.g. RICS or MCIPS), but not essential.
  • Experience working in the industrial sector, preferably Pharmaceutical, Mission Critical, Food or Chemicals.
  • Understanding of various contract types including NEC4, NEC3, JCT or bespoke.
  • Working knowledge of construction/contract law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with relevant parties.
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple requests from across several areas.
