Job
We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer offshore projects to support the activities of a client in the region of Brussels. Project location is Schiedam and/or Vlissingen (The Netherlands).

Our department OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) supports our clients in different sectors with consultants on site on basis of project staffing.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Construction manager
- Works in a multidisciplinary teams together with, amongst others: welding inspectors, paint inspectors, safety inspectors, design engineers,…
- Supports the Construction manager in management of the site team, as well as interactions with the EPC contractor
- Coordinates & participates in inspections on site
- Coordinate review of documents submitted by the contractor
- Coordinate vendors coming on site (together with the responsible project leaders).
- Setup and maintain internal systems & processes to manage incoming inspection reports of inspectors, to allow focussed and clear communication towards the EPC contractor and the site team.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports (together with the construction manager)
- Act as the knowledge center/expert for all inspectors on site (incl. full knowledge of all for contractors documents and ER’s/Employers document)
- In charge of alignment with the Design team
- Support the team with diverse tasks: for example cost benefit analysis of variants,…
- Location: 5 days a week / 8hrs a day as a minimum in Schiedam or Vlissingen (Netherlands)
- Possible short business trips or offshore trips
- Telework is possible but due to the nature of our environment (secure networks), onsite presence will be required at least partially
Qualifications
- You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in the offshore sector is preferable.
- Experience with topside Fabrication is preferable.
- Experience with multiple disciplines onsite is a must.
- Experience with Quality Control on a construction site is a plus.
- Education: Engineering
- Possess a VCA VOL/SCC for supervisors certificate.
- Shall comply with the clients' PPE and training matrix.
- Excellent MS Office skills (able to write well structured reports, and manage incoming reports efficiently).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Working in team and structured
- Safety & quality mindset
- A quick learner
- Fluent in English and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
