As a PLC Engineer, you make a difference in the maritime or industrial sector. You develop and implement smart control software that makes installations run more efficiently, safely, and sustainably. Functieomschrijving

As a PLC Engineer, you will be actively involved in the development of innovative control systems on board maritime installations from day one. You will work in a technically challenging environment where you will collaborate with experienced colleagues to build reliable and smart software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing PLC and HMI control software for maritime or industrial applications;
  • Testing and commissioning systems;
  • Analyzing and solving technical issues, liaising with colleagues from software, hardware, and electrical engineering;
  • Contributing ideas for improvements in software and system architecture to continuously optimize processes and performance.

You have strong analytical skills, work accurately, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You communicate clearly and are able to work well with colleagues from different disciplines. You have an inquisitive and proactive attitude, and you are not afraid to take initiative. In addition, you have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Mechatronics;
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role (e.g., through internships or a first job);
  • Experience with PLC programming, preferably in Siemens TIA Portal and/or Allen-Bradley;
  • In possession of a driver's license B (for traveling to work locations or commissioning);
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch and English.
