Overview

PM Group wish to recruit a Medior Supllier & Contracts Manager for electrical equipment. This role is to support a client in the energy sector in the region of Brussels.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Mission description:Besides the tender negotiations and contract awarding of contracts, the Purchasing department of the client is responsible for the management and daily follow-up of its contracts and its suppliers. Service: Be responsible for managing the suppliers and contracts for the core electrical equipment and 50Hertz’s grid, in line with the client objectives and business plans.On the one hand, the Contract and Supplier Managers (CSM) manage actively the client-supplier relationship for the strategic electrical equipment suppliers and on the other hand, they follow proactively their internal stakeholders (mainly the project department) of their category. Service description:Objectives:
  • To ensure the proper execution of the projects conform the contract
  • To act as Key Account Manager for the suppliers of his category and for our internal stakeholders (Program Managers, Project Leaders, Experts, …)
  • To lead the negotiations and reach reasonable agreements in case of unforeseen situations or claims
  • To guarantee the continuous improvement process via return of experience
  • To create opportunities and win-win situations
Each CSM manages categories of electrical equipment being either High Voltage equipment, Low Voltage equipment or Linear Assets equipment (cables and overhead lines). Key responsibilities:
  • In charge of the management of the suppliers’ relationships for its categories of equipment (through regular status meetings,suppliers and/or factory visits)
  • Support to the internal stakeholders on suppliers-related topics
  • Contract administration & contract change management
  • Contract Risk management (risk assessment and implementation of mitigation measures if required)
  • Contract Performance management & Management of contract claims
  • Documentation/Archiving
  • Reporting


Qualifications

Additional requirements: Mandatory:
  • Master in a technical-commercial field with real interest for technical aspects and projects or equivalent knowledge acquired with experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of English as it is the team’s communication language (min B2)
  • Excellent level of either French or Dutch. Good knowledge of the other language.
  • Medium seniority
  • You have min 5 years of experience in stakeholders management, contract management, category management, account management, strategic procurement, procurement
  • You have experience within the industry / energy sector
  • You are a fluent and assertive (not agressive) communicator
  • You like taking initiatives and appreciate taking responsibilities
  • You are solution-driven
  • You are enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • You defend the company’s interest and your own point of view
  • You are ready to travel (few times a year) to the suppliers’ factories (in Europe) or to our work sites (Substations)
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of the energy market
