We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer that takes a pivotal role as a linking pin between ASML Development and Engineering (D&E) and supplier, with a primary focus on parts quality.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in the Electronics Department you will be operating in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary development environment. You will work closely together with the supplier and ASML Development and Engineering (D&E) to industrialize the parts at our suppliers through the ASML product generation process in line with project plans. The main goal of this cross-sector activity is to secure an excellent quality of parts delivered by our suppliers. Within D&E, SQE is the primarily responsible for ensuring part quality from our suppliers. We achieve this by using our in-depth technical knowledge, analytic thinking, and excellent soft skills.

The main responsibilities are:
  • Technical interface between design engineering and supplier for New Product Introduction (NPI), change management and transfers of PCBA, cable assemblies, populated electronics racks and cabinets.

  • Participate and contribute to project meetings, change control boards (CCB), contribute to engineering change for dedicated electronics parts.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for PCBA, cable assemblies, populated electronics racks and cabinets.

  • You partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure first time right and proactive quality management for several parts through early supplier involvement (ESI), preliminary and critical design review, design for manufacturing, assembly, testing and cost (DFx).

  • Timely completion of deliverables as per project milestones and documentation, such as statement of work, technical product document acceptance by Supplier, proto evaluation reports, test coverage document, first article inspection, MFLOW, PFMEA and customer acceptance test.

  • You are responsible for managing material quality notifications (MN’s), deviation notifications (DN’s) and resolving part quality issues through 8D and other problem-solving techniques.

  • Contribute to supplier development, improve operational excellence by driving execution of existing agreements, supplier roadmaps, improvement actions, and support supplier audits.

Education and experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • Broad (at least 3-5 years) experience in high tech environment with a focus on supplier management, part quality, design or project management. You should be experienced with quality management systems, production processes for electronics manufacturing and international standards such as IPC Standards. Having a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
