Test Engineer

As our Test Engineer, you’ll be the driving force behind the quality of our new features. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and product owners to create test plans, execute them, and ensure seamless functionality. This role is a mix of automation testing (80%) and manual testing (20%), covering both front-end and back-end systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests (Bitbucket pipelines, Postman, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter).
  
• Developing test strategies and creating test plans tailored to new projects.
  
• Collaborating with developers to ensure the systems function as designed.
  
• Brainstorming and problem-solving to find creative testing solutions.
  
• Contributing to an overall quality-first approach in the team.

As a member of the Labs Team, you’ll work in our Capelle aan den IJssel office. Joining a small, multicultural group of 5 developers from 3 continents. This team focuses on innovation, tackling greenfield projects, testing new ideas, and implementing impactful features. We foster a friendly, collaborative atmosphere with no micromanagement and a strong emphasis on ownership. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work up to three days a week remotely, while spending at least two days in the office to stay connected with your colleagues.

You’re an experienced tester who thrives on independence and creativity. With a solid foundation in automated testing and a good understanding of manual testing, you’re ready to take full ownership of our testing processes. In addition:

• At least 2-3 years of relevant testing experience, including both manual and automation testing.
  
• Familiarity with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Postman, and Bitbucket pipelines.
  
• Experience with independent testing in multidisciplinary teams.
  
• Comfortable designing and executing test strategies from scratch.
  
• Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
  
• Able to work 2 days a week at our office in Capelle aan den IJssel.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of humor to fit in with our multicultural team.
