Kickstart Your Career in Shipbuilding with the Damen Naval Traineeship

Are you an ambitious recent graduate in (Technical) Business Administration, Maritime Technology, or another technical field? With the 24-month Damen Naval Traineeship, you will develop into a specialist in Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Verification, Validation, and Acceptance (V&VA). This is your chance to make an impact in an innovative and dynamic industry!

What can you expect?

In this traineeship, you will work in three key disciplines with a high degree of interconnection, each for eight months:

• Quality management
  Get familiarized with quality assurance, process control, and standards such as ISO 9001, SOLAS, and AQAP (NATO Allied Quality Assurance Publications). You will Conduct audits, work on improvement projects, conduct Route Cause Analyses and ensure quality standards within shipbuilding processes. Contribute to operational excellence of Damen Naval!
  
• Risk Management:
  Learn to identify, analyse and manage project risks of large multibillion Navy projects, steer on controlled mitigations. Risk management helps to assess complex risks and develop effective strategies for projects in a challenging maritime environment.
  
• Verification, Validation & Acceptance:
  Ensure all customer requirements are translated into SMART proofing methods, such as drawings, calculations, factory acceptance tests and finally the sea trials to deliver products that fully comply with the requirements.
