Job

Transformation / Agile Coach

Introduction to the job

“Changing the world, one nanometer at a time”. ASML builds machines that gives chipmakers the power to mass produce the tiniest patterns on silicon. At the EUV Factory (EF) we build EUV lithography systems, the most complex machine ever created by mankind. Of course we are a bit proud that we go to the edge of what’s possible in each technical discipline, and integrate these disciplines into this complex machine. But, this requires a complex human system that enables many people with different skills to collaborate and overcome the many challenges. And for that we need you!

The Lean & Agile team is a group of experienced professionals that support the EUV factory to create flow in our Manufacturing & Install process. Since 2017 we have learned to apply Lean principles to our way of working. Mid 2022 we also started exploring Agile at Engineering. Engineering is both the link between our R&D business unit and the factory and it is the support team for running the factory. This is an environment where both planned work: NPI (New Product Introductions), improving the factory and unplanned factory support come together.

We are looking for Agile coaches that can help us to embed Agile principles in the mindset and work of teams and leaders. Not copying best practices from other companies, not implementing the scrum guide, but use your deep insights to develop an ASML agile/lean framework that fits the Engineering environment and make it work for the people. As an Agile coach you will be the trusted partner for teams and leadership, guiding them through this major transformation. This require you to work closely with teams and leaders, learning how they deliver value and help them to do create a better place to work and create more customer satisfaction.

To be successful you must be self-starting and be able to assess what’s needed to make things work in each team. You take ownership for the change process in teams, not by doing things yourself, but by seeing what is needed and teach /coach leaders with their team how to set the next step. Besides making it work for teams, you are also able to take your observations, zoom out and collaborate with leaders to develop the operating model.
