Damen Cargo Vessels, onderdeel van Damen Shipyards, bouwt een breed scala aan schepen die speciaal zijn ontworpen voor het vervoeren van verschillende soorten lading. Onze schepen variëren van containerschepen en bulkcarriers tot tankers en multipurpose vessels.

Het project management en de engineering vinden plaats in Gorinchem en Drachten (voornamelijk Drachten). De bouw van onze schepen vindt plaats in China en Vietnam.

De rol is in zowel Gorinchem als Drachten in te vullen

De rol:

• Als Project Manager Engineering Electrical & Automation (PME E&A) ben je verantwoordelijk voor de coördinatie van de E&A dossiers.
  
• De rol omvat niet het leidinggeven aan een team van engineers, maar het coördineren van interne en externe activiteiten en het samenwerken met projectmanagers en collega's in scheepsbouw en werktuigbouw.

• Je bent betrokken bij het volledige spectrum van conceptuele ontwerpen tot en met de inbedrijfstelling en oplevering.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

• Verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor het toegewezen project om gerichte resultaten te behalen voor planning, kwaliteit en kosten.
• Coördineren van de informatiestroom van verschillende belanghebbenden binnen het project.
• Adviseren en afstemmen met de Project Manager over alle E&A gerelateerde zaken.
• Zorg dragen voor naleving van toepasselijke regels en interfacevereisten met leveranciers.
• Organiseren en/of deelnemen aan projectintegratiebeoordelingen.
• Deelname aan tests en proeven zoals HIL-testing, HAT en SAT.

Functie-eisen

• Een Bachelor diploma in Elektrotechniek, Automatisering of een andere relevante technische studie.
• 10+ jaar ervaring in het ontwerp en de engineering van complexe scheepsbouw- of offshoreprojecten met een focus op E&A.
• Sterke leiderschapsvaardigheden, oog voor detail en de vaardigheid om problemen op te lossen in stressvolle situaties.
• Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels.
• Bereidheid om te reizen.

The role:

As Project Manager Engineering Electrical & Automation (PME E&A), you are responsible for coordinating the E&A dossiers.

The role does not involve leading a team of engineers but coordinating internal and external activities and collaborating with project managers and colleagues in shipbuilding and mechanical engineering. You are involved in the entire spectrum from conceptual designs to commissioning and delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Taking responsibility for the assigned project to achieve targeted results for planning, quality, and costs.
• Coordinating the flow of information from various stakeholders within the project.
• Advising and coordinating with the Project Manager on all E&A related matters.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable rules and interface requirements with suppliers.
• Organizing and/or participating in project integration reviews.
• Participating in tests and trials such as HIL testing, HAT, and SAT.

Job requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or another relevant technical study.
• 10+ years of experience in the design and engineering of complex shipbuilding or offshore projects with a focus on E&A.
• Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel.
