Onze kennis over voortstuwing en analyse-oplossingen van energiemanagementsystemen voor de maritieme industrie komt uit ons wereldwijde Technology & Services Centre in Drunen. Hier zit ook één van de tien wereldwijde Land & Sea Academies.
In Kampen bevindt zich het Wärtsilä wereldwijde distributiecentrum van (reserve)onderdelen en in Zwolle richten we ons op energieoplossingen voor Afrika en Europa. Ook voor de klassieke merken zoals Stork Werkspoor Diesel, Deutz, Bolnes, Sulzer A / S 4 takt, blijft de kennis in huis en levert onze dochteronderneming QuantiParts, ook gevestigd in Zwolle, onderdelen en service.

Are you a highly skilled and adaptable machining professional with a passion for precision and a knack for problem-solving in challenging environments? Do you thrive on bringing your expertise directly to where it's needed most, ensuring the heart of a vessel keeps beating?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced In-Situ Machining Engineer to join our specialized team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing complex machining, repair, and alignment tasks directly on board ships or at shipyards worldwide, minimizing downtime and maximizing the operational efficiency of marine engines and critical components.
What will you be doing?
As an In-Situ Service Eningeer, you will travel globally, often on short notice, to perform hands-on urgent machining activities at our customers' premises, gaining valuable insight into how on-site repairs can significantly impact our customers in times of need. You will precisely machine and rebuild a wide variety of reciprocating engine components following established guidelines and safety protocols. You will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site machining operations, from line boring to crankshaft machining. Your work will not be limited to our products but will extend to all OEM equipment and variations.

This position requires a minimum of 60% travel, both domestically and internationally, including onshore and offshore locations as needed. The role demands adaptability to varying travel requirements, with extended periods away from the primary work location. A typical assignment involves traveling on short notice, with stays ranging from a few days to about two weeks. Normally, assignments are completed in pairs, but for certain services, solo travel is required. Therefore, we seek candidates with a strong Field Service mindset, who are flexible and ready to travel.
