Electrical Inspector R&D

The Electrical Inspector for D&E and research is responsible for the electrical inspection to ensure the safety, compliance and proper operation of low-voltage electrical machinery and equipment. The inspector conducts inspections, performs risk assessments, and ensures compliance to Dutch safety regulations and standards following the NEN3140 “Operation of electrical installations - Low voltage” and the Working Conditions act. Furthermore, the inspector needs to have a good understanding of the relevant standards NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1 and NEN-EN-IEC 61010-1

• Conduct thorough electrical inspections of laboratory equipment to ensure compliance with LV directive, NEN 3140, NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1 and NEN-EN-IEC 61010-1 standards.
• Plans the electrical inspections and communicates them with the equipment/lab owners.
• Checks the documentation, such as manual, electrical drawings.
• Identify and document any non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure all electrical work equipment in R&D labs are functioning properly.
• Formulates requirements for enhancements, additions and possible updates of electrical work equipment.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure equipment is used safely and in accordance with established guidelines.
• Monitors on the status of electrical work equipment in the labs.
• Develops and communicates Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and dashboards for measurement of continuous improvement with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on electrical safety practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of electrical safety policies and procedures.
• Aligns with standards & solutions already in use within ASML worldwide.
• Act when unsafe situations occurs
• May stop any unsafe activity or any activity that does not meet Electrical safety related standards and regulations.

MBO level 4 or Bachelor in the area of electrical engineering.

There are no constraints on working experience. The following items are a pre:

• Experience in electrical inspection & auditing techniques, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.
• Experience in using ERP systems and Mic. Office applications.
• Electrical expertise on consulting and coaching on various electrical safety topics.
• Knowledge of machine and product safety, assessment techniques.
• Expertise and experience with low voltage power distribution.
• Experience with other relevant standards NEN 1010, IEC 62368 (IEC 60950-1).

Scope:

All D&E and Research test lab locations in the Netherlands as described in the document “BEI ASML CRE Nederland” (CRE EHS 0084). All electrical work equipment (Temporary lab equipment, CE Lab equipment, Cots- ( Commercial of the Shelf) ) in these labs are in scope. The D&E and Research electrical facilities belonging to, or under control of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) are out of scope.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
