Governance, Risk and Compliance Business Architect

ASML’s Risk & Business Assurance (RBA) sector provides an integrated risk management methodology and enables ASML achieving its vision, mission and business objectives responsibly.

The RBA Center of Excellence DPR team supports the RBA organization by offering a variety of services required for the organization to operate effectively risk management. This includes training, project management, reporting and process management capabilities.

Within the our function we are looking for a very critical role of a Business Architect that can support the team in understanding new requirements/projects/changes to makes sure that the Vision of Integrated Risk Management and related tool criteria are continuously met.

Job Mission

The Business Architect plays a key role helping structuring and ‘guarding’ the ASML’s Integrated Risk Management processes, tools, its related information and governance. You will align strategic risk goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services, partners and suppliers, organization, capabilities, and key business and IT initiatives. Your primary focus is the business motivations, business operations, business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects together. You work to develop an integrated risk business view using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.

• Develop a risk business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations
• Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key risk views of ASML
• Capture the tactical and strategic risk business goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance
• Define the set of strategic, core and support risk processes across functional and organizational boundaries
• Define the risk data set, shared across ASML and the relationships between those data elements
• Map the ASML risk governance by capturing relationships among risk roles, capabilities and business units

• Master degree or equivalent in Business or Enterprise Architecture.

• 8 years minimum experience in Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Governance or Risk Management;
• May have worked as Risk & Compliance Officer, In-Company Secretarial function, or Information Security capacity;
• Previous experience with process management is a must-have;
• Experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management or similar GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) tooling is a big plus;
• Knowledge of industry-related standards and regulations e.g., SOx, ISO 27000, ISO 31000 etc. is considered a big plus.

• A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and its risk strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
• The ability to apply architectural principles to business risk solutions
• The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization
• The ability to identify disconnected documentation, and articulate their relevance to the organization
• Experience using model-based representations for complex business discussions
• The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used to mature the risk business architecture
• Experience planning and deploying risk-related business and IT initiatives
• Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
• Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities

The position is based in the Data Processing and Reporting team, part of the RBA Center of Excellence. The employee will report directly to the (Sr) Manager of the Data, Processing and Reporting team.

The RBA Business Architect works in close cooperation with the RBA/Security and IT Enterprise Architects.
