Job Mission
ASML Research is looking for a Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) expert to strengthen the Scanning Electron Microscopy Research group. The SEM group focusses on fundamental understanding and novel solutions to advance our electron beam tools used in the semiconductor industry.
Together with a multidisciplinary team you will aim to understand the different effects of electron imaging on customers’ applied use cases in order to optimize the electron optical design. This is done through modeling and your hypothesis are tested via experiments together with colleagues in San Jose, California.

Context of the position
The Research Scanning Electron Microscopy group is part of the Research department of ASML. Its task is to identify and fill in the technological gaps in the future roadmap of lithography and the lithography market. Our focus is on fundamental understanding and novel solution identification for our electron beam systems. We work in small teams and deliver proof of concept solutions that can be transferred to Development and Engineering. We intensively work together with external research institutes and universities.

A brief overview of the timeline of the recruitment process for this specific role:
until week 47: Screening of profiles by the Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not fitting Education and experience requirements of the role will be rejected. Only suitable candidates will be forwarded to the Hiring Team.
week 48: Screening of applications by the Hiring team. Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews with the hiring manager.
week 49: First round of interviews( online or onsite). If positive feedback, candidates are invited for the final round.
week: 50-51: Final round of interviews( onsite)
after week 51: Offer initiation for the selected candidate
