Introduction to the job

As a Technician at ASML, you work on  lithography machines that produce microchips. These are some of the most impressive machines in the world. You work in our cleanroom factory, a unique and high‑tech work environment.

If you enjoy working with your hands and like technical work, this is your job. At ASML, you learn by doing. You grow step by step, with time, guidance and clear structure. You work closely with experienced colleagues who support you every day.

Role and Responsibilities

After solid training at the ASML Academy, you are ready for the job. You work in a team and build complex systems step by step. You follow clear work instructions and use technical drawings to assemble everything correctly.

You will:

• Assemble, install, dismantle, and align mechanical parts and modules with high accuracy.
• Test and check systems to make sure they work well.
• Find technical problems and help solve them with your team.
• Work safely and keep your workplace clean, tidy and organized.
• Support improvements in how products are built and tested.
• Learn new skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Share clear updates about progress, issues, and results.

Education and experience

This role is a good fit if you have a vocational (mbo) or practical technical background.

You have:

• A vocational qualification (mbo level 3 or 4) or a bachelor’s degree in a technical field (for example mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive, or aerospace).
• Hands-on experience in a technical production or service environment.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting.
• Interest in working with both large parts and fine mechanical components.
• Experience reading technical drawings and following work instructions.
• A good level of English for daily communication and documentation.

Other information

The position is based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.

Work is done in a two-shift schedule. This means you switch between:

• Early shift (06:30 - 15:30)
• Late shift (15:00 - 00:00)

Once a month you will work on a weekend.

Working in shifts can affect your sleep-wake cycle. At the same time, shift work can give you more free time during the day for hobbies, friends and family. You will receive a generous shift allowance.

For this position, the indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 47,500 euro and 53,500 euro. This range comprises vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment and is based on a full-time contract. Company profit sharing is not included in this range.

As this is a shift-based position you will receive a shift allowance on top of the indicated salary range.

The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant Education and (work) experience, certifications, demonstrated abilities of the candidate, pay relative to other team members. Introductie

Als Monteur bij ASML werk je aan lithografiemachines die microchips maken. Dit zijn enkele van de meest indrukwekkende machines ter wereld.
Je werkt in onze cleanroom fabriek. Dit is een unieke en high‑tech werkomgeving.

Werk je graag met je handen en houd je van techniek? Dan is dit jouw baan.
Bij ASML leer je vooral door te doen. Je groeit stap voor stap, met tijd, begeleiding en een duidelijke structuur.
Je werkt nauw samen met ervaren collega’s die je elke dag helpen.

Rol en verantwoordelijkheden

Na een training bij de ASML Academy ben je klaar voor het werk.
Je werkt in een team en bouwt complexe systemen stap voor stap. Je volgt duidelijke werkinstructies en gebruikt technische tekeningen.

Je gaat:

• Mechanische onderdelen en modules met hoge nauwkeurigheid assembleren, installeren, uit elkaar halen en afstellen.
• Systemen testen en controleren om zeker te weten dat ze goed werken.
• Technische problemen vinden en samen met je team oplossen.
• Veilig werken en je werkplek schoon en netjes houden.
• Meedenken over verbeteringen in het bouwen en testen van producten.
• Nieuwe vaardigheden leren en kennis delen met collega’s.
• Duidelijke updates geven over voortgang, problemen en resultaten.

Opleiding en ervaring

Deze functie past goed bij jou als je een praktische technische opleiding hebt.

Je hebt:

• Een mbo-diploma (niveau 3 of 4) of een bachelor in een technische richting (bijvoorbeeld werktuigbouwkunde, mechatronica, automotive of luchtvaarttechniek).
• Praktische ervaring in een technische productie- of serviceomgeving.
• Ervaring met montage, testen, afstellen en het oplossen van storingen.
• Interesse in werken met grote onderdelen én kleine, fijne mechanische onderdelen.
• Ervaring met het lezen van technische tekeningen en het volgen van werkinstructies.
• Een goede beheersing van het Engels voor dagelijks werk en documentatie.

Je past goed in deze rol als je:

• Nauwkeurig werkt en let op kwaliteit.
• Rustig blijft en flexibel bent bij veranderingen in planning of prioriteiten.

De functie is in Veldhoven, Nederland.

Je werkt in een tweeploegendienst. Dat betekent dat je wisselt tussen:

• Vroege dienst (06:30 - 15:30)
• Late dienst (15:00 - 00:00)

Eén keer per maand werk je in het weekend.

Ploegendienst kan invloed hebben op je slaapritme. Tegelijk geeft het je extra vrije tijd overdag voor hobby’s, vrienden en familie. Je krijgt een aantrekkelijke ploegentoeslag.

Voor deze functie ligt het indicatieve (vaste) bruto jaarsalaris tussen €47.500 en €53.500. Dit bedrag is inclusief vakantiegeld en een dertiende maand en is gebaseerd op een fulltime dienstverband. Winstdeling is niet in dit bedrag opgenomen.

Omdat dit een functie in ploegendienst is, ontvang je boven op dit salaris een ploegentoeslag.

Het uiteindelijke salaris hangt af van verschillende factoren die per kandidaat verschillen, zoals: functiegerelateerde vaardigheden, relevante opleiding en (werk)ervaring, certificaten, aantoonbare kwaliteiten en vergelijking met andere teamleden.
