Overview

PM Group are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to manage contractual aspects of mechanical, electrical, and piping (MEP) packages for a major pharmaceutical construction project in Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts for mechanical, electrical, and piping installations
  • Manage subcontractor agreements and variations for MEP disciplines
  • Process and evaluate change orders and contract modifications for MEP works
  • Coordinate with MEP contractors, suppliers, and engineering teams
  • Monitor contract compliance and technical deliverable milestones
  • Prepare and review contract documentation, amendments, and extensions
  • Manage payment applications and progress certificates for MEP packages
  • Maintain comprehensive contract records and correspondence
  • Resolve contractual disputes and claims related to MEP installations
  • Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical GMP and utility standards
  • Support procurement activities for specialized MEP equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and commercial teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years contracts administration experience
  • MEP construction background, preferably pharmaceutical/cleanroom projects
  • Knowledge of process piping, HVAC, electrical systems, and utilities
  • Experience with MEP installation contracts and specialized equipment procurement
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical validation and commissioning requirements
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in contract management software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Fluent English required; French/Dutch language skills beneficial
  • Valid EU work authorization
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional certification in contract administration
  • Experience with pharmaceutical facility MEP systems
  • Knowledge of Belgian electrical and mechanical codes
  • Understanding of GMP and validation processes
