As a Data Engineer, you will help design and build our cloud-based Analytics Platform that powers internal data workflows. This platform supports data analysts, scientists, and other data engineers by providing scalable, reliable, and secure access to data. You’ll lead key technical decisions, contribute to platform architecture, and implement best practices to enable self-service analytics and streamlined data integration. This is a great opportunity to shape a core part of our data ecosystem and drive data-driven decision-making across the company.
Must Have:
5 Year+ experience as Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
An engineer who thrives at the intersection of Analytics and Engineering.
Hands-on experience integrating DBT with Apache Airflow.
Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and operations (we use Snowflake).
Advanced programming skills in Python.
Familiarity with data modeling and modern data architecture patterns.
Proven experience developing REST APIs, ideally using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices: code reviews, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
Nice to Have:
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure); experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is a plus.
Background in digital/traffic analytics, including tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Comfortable working with semantic models and visualization tools like Power BI.
Previous experience working with MPP data platforms like Apache Spark; hands-on experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog is a plus.
Setting up and managing the infrastructure to deploy key components of the Analytics Platform.
Adding monitoring and improving visibility so other teams can better understand and manage their data usage and costs.
Collaborating with mobile and app developers to build data pipelines and infrastructure that support the experimentation platform.
Partnering with technical web analysts to develop pipelines for web and app traffic analytics, enabling deeper insight into Eneco’s digital performance.
Ensuring all solutions are robust, scalable, and future-proof.
Empowering teams across the organization by making data accessible, usable, and actionable—supporting Eneco’s mission for digital innovation.
