Team Leader Project Controlling

Due to growth of the project controlling team as a result of successful sales results, we are looking for a Team Leader to lead a team of 8-10 Project Controllers and who reports to the Finance Head of the business unit.

You combine extensive knowledge on tax, legal and financial topics with the skills to coach, develop and inspire a team. You strive for success through professional collaboration and focus closely on project-, team- and business unit goals. You have excellent cooperation skills but firm when needed, know how to develop and motivate a team of specialists, commercially-minded, flexible, enterprising and have an eye for detail as well as strong communication skills. You also have a hands-on approach and partially you will also act as a senior project controller yourself.
Within this department, the main language is English and Dutch.
Day to Day business

• Allocate resources to projects and optimize capacity of the team
• Support and coach your team on complex topics
• Be involved in complex bids and projects, partially you also act as the senior project controller in sales and execution phase
• Monitor the progress of the projects and with your team prepare the monthly project reviews
• Make sure that the financial books and records of the projects are always compliant in line with reporting standards
• Initiate and contribute to process optimalization initiatives
• Continuously work on development of the team with a special focus on the team members with a junior profile.

Does your skill set at least include some of these skills?

• Completed a university or higher vocational degree in Business Administration/ Economics.
• An engaging leader who can empower, encourage, motivate and develop others.
• An effective communicator with strong negotiation skills using multiple channels to engage conversation and positive change.
• Ability to create an environment that inspires the team to generate novel solutions, encouraging creativity and new ways to tackle problems (e.g. value co creation, design thinking, agile, lean).
• At least 10 years of experience with all aspects of Project Controlling in a large international organization.
• Insight into SAP R/3 Business Warehouse, MS Office and IFRS.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Shown experience working in a sophisticated work environment.
