The role

Are you enthusiastic about working in a complex international environment? As Business Controller at Damen Holding, you are going to be a member of the Group Control team. You contribute to analyse and deliver the business performance. You support and engage the Divisions and be accountable for strategic the financial planning modelling like Forecast and Budget.

You will continuously improve, develop and drive business metrics and targets. Translate the financial data into useful management information and you will analyse the information to drive the decision making process by getting the story clear behind the figures. You will be accountable for the management reporting and communications, performing analysis and leading initiatives that support the global strategic plans. We use OneStream within Damen to support these processes.

Your reporting line is to the Group Business Controller for Damen Holding.

Key accountabilities

As a Business Controller your key accountabilities are:

• Coordinate, monitor and report on the budget and forecast process;
• Analyse and discuss the outcomes and identify the risks and opportunities;
• Drive optimization and improvement of processes, standardization of reporting and insight-driven analyses to satisfy the need for management information;
• Execute ad-hoc analyses and reporting;
• Be a bridge-builder among Division and Damen Holding

Skills & experience

We are looking for a Business Financial Professional with proven track record in financial and business control/analytics at divisional or group level. Who is proactive with a hands-on mentality.

The candidate we are looking for has the following skills and qualifications:

• Master in Business, Economy and/or Accounting with 7+ year experience working in similar environment.
• Affinity with Power BI, knowledge of OneStream is a plus.

• Confident with operating in a team in an environment of change.
• Eager and ambitious with the ability to go at least one level up.
• Takes ownership, solid personality with the ability to get things done:
• Able to communicate at multiple levels in the organization in fluent English and Dutch.
