AWS Python Developer

As an AWS/Python Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain our AWS cloud environment alongside your colleague Tim. You’ll work on data storage solutions, containerization, and creating high-performance databases and datasets that provide strategic insights and improve operational efficiency. You’ll also collaborate with end-users to address platform challenges and implement improvements. Your expertise will help us scale to the next level.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing frontend (Angular, TypeScript) and backend (Python) solutions.
  
• Optimizing SQL databases and Postgres for secure and efficient data storage.
  
• Writing advanced SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
  
• Setting up and maintaining S3 buckets for scalable and secure data storage.
  
• Managing security settings using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  
• Implementing microservices architectures and efficient containerization with tools like Docker or Kubernetes.

You’re an experienced developer with a strong background in cloud environments, database management, and building scalable applications. You enjoy solving complex challenges and proactively improving processes.

Your qualifications include:

• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud development or similar infrastructure.
  
• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
  
• Expertise in SQL and Postgres databases, including optimizing queries for large datasets.
  
• Angular and TypeScript experience for building interactive front-end applications.
  
• Strong knowledge of Python, particularly for scripting and data analysis.
  
• Experience in creating datasets and conducting complex data analyses.
  
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
  
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
