Join our Mechanical Modelshop, a supporting team at ASML, where we focus on the realization of high-precision mechanical one offs. Working with both our in-house machinery and a network of trusted suppliers, we are responsible for transforming complex engineering requests into functional prototypes that meet ASML’s high standards for performance and quality. The Modelshop collaborates within all ASML and ensures that every part we produce drives innovation forward, supporting ASML’s mission to push the boundaries of technology. We are seeking a skilled Buyer who can make strategic “make or buy” decisions grounded in technical expertise. In this role, you’ll evaluate detailed technical drawings to determine the best approach for sourcing prototype and production parts, balancing in-house capabilities with external supplier partnerships. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery, contributing directly to ASML’s high standards for innovation and precision. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, we’d love to meet you.

As a Buyer you are primary responsible to ensure Proto-Parts from our suppliers. Using your in-depth technical knowledge, and collaboration skills, you work closely with suppliers to build up an intimate knowledge of their technological capabilities.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Ensure that Customers have there proto-parts on time and in full, with the right quality

• Being a active part with Make or Buy decisions, knowing the following:

• Make decisions between two inhouse shopfloors on technical capability's and time planning

• Buy with our suppliers on technical capability's, price and delivery time

• Grow in manufacturability- and serviceability advice to cover manufacturability in the design phase

• MBO +
• Proven Mechanical Experience, milling and turning
• Administrative work experience
