Environmental, Health and Safety Program Manager, Google Cloud Logistics

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in Program Management.
• Experience in the Environment, Health and Safety field.
• Experience in workplace safety and environmental regulations with European directives and regulations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certificate from Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., Middelbare/Hogere Veiligheidskunde, NEBOSH).
• Experience in warehousing, transportation or related logistics industry.
• Ability to coach, influence and advise leadership and vendor stakeholders to achieve positive EHS outcomes.
• Excellent collaboration, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience in supporting projects in a multidisciplinary and international environment.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Responsibilities

• Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs in Google’s Warehousing/Logistics/ Automation spaces to ensure a safe and compliant workplace with the focus on improvement. Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
• Partner with Google Cloud Logistics (GCL) Vendors to drive safety improvements and ensure their EHS performance meets the required standards and meet with stakeholders to communicate on performance and requirements.
• Coordinate and Participate in Assurance Activities. Manage the compliance program and audit vendors for compliance to legal and Google EHS requirements.
• Participate in engineering and innovation solutions to reduce risk in the GCL operations.
  
• Review incident investigations submitted by vendors and communicate learning/corrective and preventive actions across the business to prevent recurrence.
