Your role and responsibilitiesAre you looking for a challenging and inspiring role where you’ll be an essential and visible part of an internationally active, expert team that develops, manages, and delivers cutting-edge electrical solutions for the marine sector? As a Field Service Engineer within the Marine & Ports division, you’ll be responsible for the commissioning and service of a variety of advanced systems. You will work hands-on with our high-tech harbor crane installations, primarily located in the Rotterdam area, specifically on the Maasvlakte. This means you will engage with a wide range of technical challenges involving automation systems, switchgear, distribution panels, and variable-speed drives. ABB Marine & Ports offers a comprehensive portfolio of electrical and automation solutions for the maritime industry. Our systems, built on ABB’s industry-leading technology in power, drives, and automation, have been proving their reliability in demanding marine and offshore applications for decades. You will be mainly accountable for: • Independently perform service and maintenance on ABB products and systems. • Collaborate with customers to identify areas for improvement and optimization. • Participate in a 24/7 on-call duty roster for emergency support.
