Group Manager and Function Owner - Mechanical Development

Job Mission

In the position of Group Leader / Function Owner (GL/FO), you and your team are key contributors to the development of ASML’s Yieldstar product line.

You are driving the development based on the roadmap and in cooperation with other teams and cross sector representatives.

As GL/FO you own and drive Mechanical System Layout (FC-020) and Mechanical Constructions (FC-033) for the Yieldstar Product line. You chair the three-in-a-box, where triple constraint management, technology choices and roadmap are aligned, as well as direction for execution are chosen. You pro-actively drive the development work in your team, drive for quality and end-2-end solutions. But above all, you will use your leadership to grow the team and teamwork skills to solve problems and optimize team performance.

Job Description

The Group Leader / Function Owner Yieldstar Mechanical Layout is a line manager for the group that works on the mechanical design of amongst others frames, outer covers, seismic anchors for the Yieldstar product line within the Business Line Applications. The Group consists of about 15 fix/flex employees, supported by farmout engineers. A number of architects will report into you. Part of the Group has a TL as line manager.

Responsibilities ·

• End-2-end responsible for the Functions Mechanical System Layout & Mechanical Constructions for Yieldstar.
• Owner of the function roadmaps. ·
• Project leader for roadmap projects ·
• Contributor to the System Function Roadmap for Mechanical Architecture
• People performance management based on the yearly HR cycle, as well as development of potentials to enable growth of ASML
• Deliver a staffing plan for TAP and LTCP
• Define and implement the competence and resource roadmap for the Group · End to end responsible for the quality and timely delivery of all deliverables in the group, like SEG documentation and TPD
• Drive improvements on processes and WOW
• Work with farmout supplier to enable and manage development projects on site at ASML or at co-developers sites.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor or Master degree in a Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-8 years working experience in a leadership position for technical professionals
• Affinity with managing cross sectoral business processes in fast growing and dynamic business environments.

Context of the position

You will be part of the Applications, Analysis and Foundation (AAF) Department in the Mechanical Development Cluster.

Within ASML, the Sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products.

The Cluster Mechanical Development is designing, building and testing mechanical systems and sub-systems which are fitted into the end products.

You will report to the department manager of the AAF Department
