Please note that for this role we are searching for someone who is already living in the Netherlands and is proficient in the use of the English language on C1 level. No use of the Dutch language is required but it is preferred.
The energy transition needs you as a Python Developer
One of the agile release trains that plays a crucial role is ‘System Operations’. We leverage smart customer products to maximize the grid usage. This means we operate in the real-time and 48 hour ahead domain. An example of what we do is called congestion management. We forecast loads on critical conducting equipment, when limits are potentially surpassed we request a trade on the energy market. We trade flexibility in consumption or production for money, effectively increasing the utilization of our grid.
At team grid-insight-management we build and improve every day on topology processing and connectivity-registry. This means that we model the physical grid in such a way that other teams can use it for grid-calculations, safety assessments and solution fulfillment.
Including you, we are a team of 8 developers a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. We deliver information products rest-services. Which are implemented in python and deployed on an AWS cluster.
We are searching for a medior to senior Python fullstack engineer.
Your primary focus will be ensuring our software works seamlessly from development to deployment and beyond.

You are a software engineer who thrives in a very large and complex environment
You have at least 5 years experience in Python environment, welcome if you excel other languages as well (Surprise us!)
You enjoy working in a DevOps team (rough estimation: development 70%, operations 30%)
You are familiar with AWS
You are skilled in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, releases, and deployments
High and pragmatic test coverage is your thing
You are experienced in monitoring, alerting, and logging to create mature and resilient solutions
You have knowledge and experience of implementing REST services
You are passionate about learning about the grid-modelling domain
Key Responsibilities
Programming Proficiency: Python, as we expect a mature software engineer you have no troube choosing the right tool for the problem.
Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Develop robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and maintain high-quality deployments.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, team members, and operations teams in an agile DevOps environment to foster continuous improvement.
Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices into the software lifecycle to ensure compliance with industry standards.
REST Services: Implement and maintain high-performance REST services tailored for grid-modeling applications.
Domain Expertise: Learn and contribute to the grid-modeling domain, ensuring solutions align with business needs.

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:
a gross monthly salary of € 4.402 to € 6.289 (scale 9)
annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time, you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you.
24,5 days’ holiday (statutory + non-statutory). You can use your IKB to top this up to (full time) (part time).
an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.
a pension with ABP, especially for the government and education sector. We will pay a 70% share of your pension contribution.
Work from wherever suits you best, as long as your role allows it. Whether from the office or your own home. A workation is even an option. If you work from home, you will receive a home office allowance.
