Payroll Administrator (0.8 FTE)
You might just be the most important person in our entire organization. Thanks to you, every colleague receives their salary on time each month. A big responsibility.
Within our HR organization, HR Operational Services is responsible for implementing and managing payroll and HR policies at all levels of the company. We support the business and support departments in managing various HR disciplines such as Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Talent Development, Payroll & Personnel Administration, and related legal matters.
What will you do at ABB?
You ensure that all national and international colleagues are paid correctly and on time, based on legal and collective labor agreement regulations. Meeting every deadline is truly critical. As a Payroll Administrator, you are the person behind the payslips, and therefore the first point of contact for colleagues with payroll-related questions.
You’ll work with a ticket system, which keeps everything organized and allows you to set priorities. In addition to your daily responsibilities, you’ll regularly participate in projects. For example, we’re currently implementing Workday, a global HR information system – a project where your input will be valuable.
Your responsibilities
Entering and checking periodic payroll output.
Providing accurate salary cost information to the finance department – you’re the main contact.
Managing and checking various changes related to pension funds and employee insurances.
Identifying and executing process improvements within established frameworks.
Performing internal audits for the Netherlands and Belgium and preparing external audits – you identify and resolve discrepancies.
Your team
With you on board, the HR Operational Services team in the Netherlands will consist of 6 colleagues – all friendly, capable professionals. You’ll work alongside one direct colleague who also handles payroll administration. Your manager applies a coaching leadership style, offering tailored guidance and support. When you're not working from home, you’ll have a desk at our vibrant Rotterdam office.

What else do you bring?
A background in payroll administration.
Experience running payroll.
Knowledge of social and tax legislation.
Strong Excel skills.
Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
