The role

As the Process Manager of the F126 Frigate Project, you have a central role in defining the process flows for goals to be realized in accordance with the contract. By acting as a guide, process owner and lobbyist, you engage, motivate, advise, and inspire your working environment. You also manage the necessary alliances and preconditions. As the Process Manager you are responsible for the implementation and the execution of the processes (the how). You are also responsible for coordinating the cross-sectional tasks in the project organization leading to a value-adding and efficient execution. You lead and oversee process improvement initiatives and will be the point of contact regarding processes towards the line organization, the sub-project managers, and the clients process manager and the project board.

Key accountabilities
As a Process Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a strategic vision for process implementation, execution, and optimization.
  • Being accountable for implementing and executing key processes in the F126 project: Risk Management, Configuration Management, Supply Chain, Data Exchange.
  • Acting as the contact person for project directors and other team members for these processes.
  • Ensuring external coordination with the client and subcontractors.
  • Harmonizing and ensuring consistency in processes across sub-projects for value-adding execution.
  • Ensuring progress of process deliverables within team processes or in close cooperation with sub-projects.
  • Creating and maintaining process management plans according to the requirements.
  • Ensuring process owners have the necessary resources and means.
  • Collaborating with the project team and functional line organization for project and line improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather insights and develop innovative solutions.

Skills & experience
To excel as the Process Manager, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a shipbuilding- or a related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Business Process Management and standards.
  • Experience with the systems engineering approach of complex projects.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience in leadership, ideally in a technology-driven, project and process environment.
  • Master’s degree in Business Process Management or a technical Bachelor's study with additional relevant process management studies.
  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
