Introduction to the job 

As part of ASML Operations and the ASML x-sector Re-Use organization, the Re-Use Manufacturing organization is actively contributing to ASML’s circular economy and sustainability goals. The scope of Re-Use Manufacturing  is to drive and own the re-use of parts, tools and packing materials worldwide in order to accelerate learnings, reduce costs and eliminate waste. Within Veldhoven Operations Re-Use, a  Global Re-Use Execution Center, Technical Support and Product Engineering, and a dedicated Recycling team are in place. This recycling team is looking for new team members.  

In the scope of our recycling team are all materials (parts, tools) identified and approved for recycling. Those materials will be received in our recycling warehouse from our field locations and factories. Our recycling team ensures that all material, which have been identified and approved for recycling, will be operational processed in our SAP system until the end of its final destination.  
 

Recycling team scope contains 4 elements:  

  •  Sorting and logistic execution of materials (parts, tools, lockings) for being re-used after reconditioning at external supplier. 

  •  End-to-end scrap execution from inbound until the basis components are disassembled to basis pure recycling material level for dispositioning. 

  •  Inventory handling of all identified recycling / reuse materials until their end destination. 

  •  Identify re-use opportunities for material or simple “repair” work.  

The end goal is to improve the material re-use rate in our factories or field, all intended to prevent any material scrap. Learning from reconditioning of parts is equal important as enabling the feedback loop.  All activities will lead to structural cost reduction by preventing waste and accelerated learnings.    

 

Role and Responsibilities 

As the warehouse operator in recycling, the work package contains: Logistic handling of material due for recycling or re-use. 

  • Execute basis SAP transaction. 

  • Identify all material related information (12NC, BID,….). 

  • Scan materials. Re-labelling / print out labels , where needed. 

  • Unpack material to ensure identification is possible. 

  • Control material data versus booked (SAP) material data. Correct deviating data. 

  • Sort material identified for re-use or recycling. 

  • Check as-is structure with SAP Bill of Material. Identify deltas and correct, where possible.   

     

Education and experience

No dedicated Education certificate, preferred experience in a logistic environment (transport, warehousing)   

  • Worked in a logistic environment, preferred in a warehouse for at least 2-3 years. 

  • Basic IT skills: Preferred in a SAP environment. Basic knowledge within MS-Office package. 

  • Barcode scanning or similar registration execution. 

  • Basic technical understanding of materials, packaging, parts and/or modules. 

  • Basic hands-on skills to be able to unpack material which is packed and protected. 

  • Extra: worked with forklifts, cranes, handling tools. 

  •  Language skills : English, Dutch preferred.

Other information

The warehouse operator in recycling is part of our recycling team. The operator has  to execute simple SAP transactions to identify, order and/or move (inbound/outbound) material in scope of recycling and return-for-reuse. He/she understands the basics of our logistic infrastructure and executes the transaction which are needed for the material to be moved to the final destination. The operator works in a warehouse environment where he/she has to execute also physical handling of material like storage in shelfs or boxes, extract material from the packaging or re-pack material for being further processed or to be send to the final location. Some technical skills are needed to understand the different material structures and being able to execute small mechanical work. All work has to be executed under our ASML safety rules and regulations.  

The  Warehouse Operator in the recycling team is part of the Veldhoven Re-Use Manufacturing OPS organization. He/she will report to the coordinator of the recycling team.
