Vacature
The purpose of the job is to work as part of a departmental or multi-discipline team on a variety of technical projects
Responsibilities
- Perform work in compliance with PM Group’s Quality Management System
- Input to “Departmental Improvements” as appropriate
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of scope of work assigned * Deliver project work within budgeted man-hours
- Interact and communicate with own departments, project team members, clients and other external parties to ensure co-ordination of Liaise with senior colleagues and mentors as appropriate
- Liaise with Procurement Department on the preparation and evaluation of procurement and tender documentation
- Provide site support for equipment/ systems instillation, commissioning, modification and qualification
- Demonstrates a willingness to take the lead when required to get things done
- Awareness of OHSA’s 18001 accreditation of PM Group Safety Management systems and the importance of same
- Represents PM Group positively when interacting with external parties
- Has the ability to think creatively and strives to continually improve own processes and areas of business
- Gathers relevant information and solves problems
- Makes decisions independently within areas of responsibility or in conjunction with others
- Demonstrate knowledge of PM Group and/or industry standard methodologies and tools
- Carry out site visits/ site surveys
- Prepare technical documents, including checking as appropriate in accordance with agreed schedules
- Plan and deliver one or more tasks in a timely fashion to meet project schedules
Qualifications
- Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Computer literate with good experience of MS Word and Excel
- Preferred
- Certificate (Level 6) or Diploma/ Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or Science related discipline
