What you’ll do

As a Product Manager/Lead of the Data Platform team, you will partner with the Short Term Commodities Trading Desk to build data and ML products to revolutionize how our organization harnesses data to drive growth and innovation. You'll spearhead the development of a cutting-edge, real-time data platform that will empower us to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace and accelerate Eneco push towards sustainability.

• Own the strategy & long-term roadmap for an end-to-end Data Platform starting from ingestion and storage all the way through to ML and Analytics.

• Partner with Traders and Researchers to develop datasets that support both historical insights and real-time data feeds through innovative batch and stream processing.

• Partner with a talented Engineering team (consisting of Data Engineers, Data Scientists and ML Engineers) to convert business problems into technical solutions.

• Define, measure and report on Technical and Business goals/KPIs to ensure we are measuring and communicating imapct to stakeholders.

• Lead by example in crafting scalable and efficient technological solutions, ensuring operational excellence, governance in all aspects of data handling.

Is this about you?

• 
  

• You have a background in trading or in the energy sector.

• Strong technical understanding: You are comfortable communicating technical concepts and working with engineering teams, while also understanding the energy market.

• Stakeholder management: You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders and building consensus across diverse groups.

• Data-driven: 'Why' is your favorite question to ask. You get to the bottom of any problem/ask from business stakeholder with data and you ruthlessly use it to drive prioritisation

You’ll be responsible for

This is a unique opportunity to set strategic directions for major business initiatives and take ownership of the technical vision for the team building a next-generation platform that will redefine the way we approach data integration and unlock new insights through the seamless integration of Machine Learning for our business users.

• Building a highly available and scalable Data Platform making large data sets readily available to fuel advanced algorithmic trading strategies.

• Defining a priortised backlog with the Short Term Desk (Day Ahead traders, Intra day traders, Forecasters) to ensure we are maximising for value.

• Refining the backlog with the Engineering team to ensure we are making smart and strategic Technical decisions with cleearly defined business problems.

• Define and own a set of technical KPIs ex: Latency, Stability, Reliability, Uptime etc + Business KPIs

What we have to offer



Gross annual salary between €91.000 and €135.000

Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
