Solution Architect Build & Intergration

Translating the digitalization strategy into practice in the organization. That is what you work on as a Solution Architect. If you have in-depth knowledge on building & integration platforms, this role is perfect for you. You’ll work hybrid, with visits to Haarlem and Arnhem. This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week. You will make the energy grid smarter at Alliander.

The energy transition needs you as a Solution Architect 

The Agile Release Train (ART) Build & Integration consists of both the platforms that enable our DevOps engineers build software as well as our integration platforms regarding API management and streaming data. As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for technological solutions to improve our platforms. In this role, you will be able to distill the essence from detailed information and translate it into decision-making documents at a tactical and/or operational level.

You will primarily work within the ART alongside the Solution Architect, Product Manager, and Release Train Engineer. However, due to your expertise, you can expect to receive inquiries from outside the ART as well. As a knowledge expert and key figure in the field, you will need to navigate this broad stakeholder landscape with ease.

• Ensure that Business Solutions within your scope always comply with the frameworks and guidelines of Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, and Data Architecture.
• Oversee the quality and design (including technology, applications, processes, capabilities, etc.) of a portion of our digital landscape.
• Proactively monitor industry developments and actively incorporate them into the development of the architectural runway.
• Act as a sparring partner for other Solution Architects.
• Serve as a master builder during the realization of functionality.

• Minimum of a higher professional education (HBO) level, supplemented with extensive work experience in a similar role.
• Strong command of both Dutch and English.
• In-depth knowledge of integration platforms (e.g. Kafka, API management)
• In-depth knowledge of building platforms (e.g. GitHub, Backstage)
• Proven knowledge regarding concepts like platform engineering, developer experience & pipelines.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services is a plus.

Attractive salary and benefits package

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

• a gross monthly salary of €5.103 to €8.666 (scale 10 or 11).
• annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time, you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you.
• 24,5 days’ holiday (statutory + non-statutory). You can use your IKB to top this up to (full time) (part time).
• an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.
• a sustainable employability (SE) budget of €500 per year. Choose a payment for a sport or hobby, to make your home more sustainable or to reduce your student loan debt with DUO, for example. You decide how your budget is spent. 
• study and training allowances. In most cases Alliander reimburses the cost of the entire course.
