Introduction to the role

The Automation, Monitoring and Observability ART is part of the Core IT organization and is responsible for delivering high quality products, platforms and knowledge supporting IT Workload teams achieving their Compliance, Operational Excellence and Total Cost of Ownership objectives of their IT Managed applications and services.

Role and Responsibilities

As System Architect of the Automation, Monitoring and Observability ART are responsible for the further development of the enterprise architecture within the Infra Automation, Monitoring and Observability domain. You will act on both tactical level (designing, documenting and communicating solutions that meet business requirements and are in line with the enterprise architecture standards and guidelines) as well as on strategic level (identifying and designing the future state of the global Infra Automation, Monitoring and Observability domain).

You work closely together with the CPO and RTE as part of the Leading Coalition of the ART.

As a System Architect you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Define and maintain the technical roadmap, guidelines and standards for the ART.
  • Design and guide implementation of automation and observability solutions.
  • Align the Domain Architects and teams in the ART to shared solutions and technical directions; work with the teams in implementing these solutions with the required quality.
  • Collaborate with System Architects of other functions in order to identify impact and provide solutions of cross-functional architectural requirements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, other IT Departments and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation of the ART’s services.
  • Provide consultation to internal stakeholders on architectural options, risks, potential cost saving options and technology changes in the area of infra automation, monitoring and observability.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture governance to identify and design the future state of the global Automation, Monitoring and Observability domain.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members.
     

Education and experience

  • At least 5+ years of experience in translating business requirements to architectural solutions in the area of IT infrastructure.
  • Bachelors or Masters in a related field.

  • You do not settle for the status quo but you feel the drive to change and innovate for the benefits of the customers and the ART.
