ASML (Veldhoven, Netherlands)
ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. We provide chipmakers with everything they need – hardware, software and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography.
Introduction to the job
Maximizing yield, manufacturing speed, efficiency and reliability are among the key parameters for customers in high-volume chip manufacturing. Business Line Applications (BL Apps) extends ASML holistic lithography solutions by developing products that work alongside our lithography systems, in order to help them performing better and improving the patterning process.
BL Apps supports several manufacturing process steps in our customers’ fabs, from R&D to mass production. The portfolio of products includes metrology, inspection, computational lithography, data analytics and control software to quickly and accurately measure, optimize and control overlay and imaging performance on silicon wafers.
ASML’s BL Apps products are critical elements in the semiconductor manufacturing process.
The System Test Engineer (STE) in YieldStar System Integration, takes the technical lead in the integration of multiple subsystem deliveries into one complete system and testing these sets. Integration is done on both functional level and on performance level of the key performance indicators of ASML’s systems (throughput, overlay, focus etc.). STE defines the optimal integration and test strategy to achieve this goal and takes part in execution of this strategy on one or more platforms. During integration and Introduction of the systems at the first customers, STE will also take the lead in the analysis of complex system issues and in the definition and testing of the solution for such issues.
Job DescriptionOverview of main activities

coordinate intake of subsystem deliveries including the verification of sufficient quality;
support/participate in integration tests on the system;
report on system integration progress, test results and the system’s functional, performance and reliability capabilities;
take lead in analysis of system issues that have been found during integration testing;
define – both short and long term – solutions for system issues.
Main Responsibilities
definition of integration strategy for system integration;
optimizing operational integration efficiency;
reporting on integration progress and system status
Tracking of STE deliverables to Project incl. disturbance handling (Prio calls)
Create work breakdown for STE engineers with alignment with Project Lead
